Pulling Training

Date: 19th April 2008

Times: 10am to 4:00pm

Venue: Powells Pool, Sutton Park

Cost: £4.50 per Scout

Required Equipment: Scouts will be required to attend in full uniform and bring a change of clothes. Some buoyancy aids will be available; however they should bring their own if they have one. They will require a packed lunch.

There are three courses running on this day:

•Beginner Pulling – for those who have never been out in a Pulling Boat, this course aims to give them the basic skills.

•Scouts Pulling Badge – this course covers the requirements of the pulling badge. Scouts should have previous experience of pulling boats.

•Pulling Instructor Badge – this course covers some of the requirements of the pulling instructor’s badge, they will be required to continue to assist training for three months to achieve the instructors badge. Scouts must already hold the pulling badge.
